Our client is a reputable Hong Kong-based licensed bank with a well-established presence across Hong Kong and Greater China. The bank provides a comprehensive range of corporate, commercial, and retail banking services, with a strong focus on cross-border business and regional growth. Due to continued business expansion, they are seeking an Assistant Manager, Operational Risk to join their Risk Management team.

Your new role
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across business and support functions.
  • Review operational risk incidents and loss events, providing analysis and recommendations for remediation.
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and prepare regular management reports.
  • Assist in operational risk governance, committee reporting, and regulatory submissions.
  • Perform thematic reviews and risk assessments for new products, processes, and initiatives.
  • Liaise with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Support business continuity management and operational resilience-related initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Compliance, and other control functions on risk matters.
  • Keep abreast of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of operational risk, enterprise risk, internal control, audit, or related banking experience.
  • Good understanding of operational risk frameworks, RCSA, KRIs, risk incidents, and control assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with HKMA regulatory requirements and banking risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in preparing management reports and committee papers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
