We are partnering with a well-established Chinese bank with a strong private banking platform and solid HNW client franchise in Hong Kong.

Your new role

  • Support the General Manager in leading the overall strategy, management, and development of the Private Banking Department

  • Drive business growth, profitability, and operational excellence in line with the Bank's strategic objectives

  • Oversee key business areas including Private Banking, Investment Advisory, Securities, Insurance, and Wealth Management

  • Ensure strong governance and compliance with HKMA, SFC, and internal regulatory standards, including AML/CFT and suitability controls

  • Provide oversight on risk management frameworks, covering operational, regulatory, and client suitability risks

  • Act as a key liaison with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders on private banking-related matters

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and business partners to support long-term growth

  • Lead and mentor senior team members while driving a high-performance culture


What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 15 years of banking experience, with strong exposure to private banking and wealth management; at least 8 years in a senior leadership role

  • Holder of Insurance Responsible Officer (RO) license and Securities Executive Officer (EO) license are bonus

  • Strong knowledge of private banking, investment advisory, securities, insurance, and wealth management products

  • Solid experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance within a private banking environment

  • Good understanding of Hong Kong regulatory frameworks, including HKMA, SFC, and AML/CFT requirements

  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities

  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
