About the job
Overview
We are seeking an Associate Director/Senior Associate of Investments to join our mission-driven team. This position will be based in Hong Kong and will support private investments, including a focus on nature catalytic capital initiative. While this role will be a good fit for someone who is already active in impact investing, it will also be an excellent opportunity for someone who has more of an impact-first mindset and is passionate about investing in nature and biodiversity-related opportunities.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience with private investments (impact-first experience with asset managers, foundations or family offices is a plus) and ability to source, conduct due diligence and monitor such investments.
- Broader experience in sustainable, impact or philanthropic investing is a plus, but not critical if there is strong passion, internal motivation to support early-stage founders/fund managers, and genuine desire to learn.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely, disciplined and detailed manner.
- Experience with financial modelling and investment analysis/memo drafting.
- Comfortable working in a less institutional and unstructured small-team environment, with the ability to embrace ambiguity and change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, proactively ask questions, and collaborate with people with different perspectives and mindsets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to switch between strategic/system-level thinking and practical, action-oriented execution.
- Discreet individual with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant working experience for the Associate Director position (impact-first organisations, traditional PE/VC, asset management, corporate finance or related firms).
- Candidates with fewer years of experience but with financial modelling and deal execution experience may be considered for a Senior Associate position.
- Previous experience in a family office environment is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or above (CFA is a plus).
- Good command of written and spoken English (Chinese is a plus)
