Assistant Vice President, Post-Trade, Market Structure (Contract)

Job Summary:
Support strategic platform and market infrastructure initiatives within the Post-Trade Division related to HKEX's Core Climate ecosystem and broader climate-related market infrastructure developments.

The role will work closely with business, operations, technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive hands-on delivery across business analysis, workflow review, operating model enhancement, testing, implementation, and operational readiness activities.

This is a delivery-focused role requiring both stakeholder coordination and active execution capability in a dynamic and fast-paced project environment with evolving priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Execution:
  Lead and actively execute strategic platform and market infrastructure initiatives across the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, and rollout activities.

• Business Analysis & Requirements Management:
  Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business requirements, workflows, operational processes, and functional specifications across business and technology teams.

• Operating Model & Workflow Enhancement:
  Support the review, design, and enhancement of post-trade workflows, operational models, settlement processes, and ecosystem connectivity requirements.

• Testing & Implementation Leadership:
  Lead and participate in user acceptance testing, implementation planning, issue resolution, production readiness, and rollout support activities.

• Stakeholder Management & Coordination:
  Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders across Post-Trade, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, Legal, and other business teams, as well as external vendors or service providers, to support delivery, implementation, and issue resolution activities.

• Project Governance & Reporting:
  Prepare project updates, implementation tracking, issue logs, management reporting materials, and status presentations for stakeholder and management review.

• Process & Platform Enhancement:
  Identify opportunities for operational improvement, workflow enhancement, platform optimization, and operational efficiency across evolving market infrastructure initiatives.

• Research & Market Review:
  Monitor developments relating to market infrastructure, workflow innovation, operational enhancement, and climate-related ecosystem initiatives to support ongoing project delivery and implementation activities.

• Cross-Functional Team Support:
  Contribute to broader divisional initiatives, operational reviews, process enhancement activities, and other strategic workstreams as required.

Requirements

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree or above in Technology, Information Systems, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Platform Delivery Experience (Highest Priority):
  5-8 years of experience in system implementation, business analysis, project delivery, workflow enhancement, testing, or platform rollout within financial services, exchange, market infrastructure, or technology environments.

• Hands-On Delivery Capability:
  Proven ability to independently drive analysis, documentation, testing, coordination, issue resolution, and implementation activities across project lifecycles.

• Business Analysis & Operating Model Skills:
  Strong experience in business analysis, workflow review, operating model assessment, process mapping, and implementation coordination.

• Stakeholder Management Skills:
  Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across business, operations, and technology teams.

• Adaptability & Delivery Mindset:
  Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving project environment with multiple concurrent initiatives and changing priorities.

• Organizational & Execution Skills:
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and execution capabilities with attention to detail and delivery timelines.

• Team & Work Flexibility:
  Willingness to support broader divisional initiatives and contribute beyond core project responsibilities when required.

• Market Infrastructure / Technology Exposure (Advantageous):
  Exposure to platform delivery, market infrastructure enhancement, ecosystem initiatives, or innovative technology-enabled solutions supporting trading, clearing, settlement, custody, or related financial services workflows is advantageous.

• Sustainable Finance Ecosystem Awareness (Advantageous):
  Familiarity with climate-related products, sustainable finance initiatives, or related market developments is beneficial is advantageous .

• Communication:
  Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese language capability is preferred.
