Job Description
As a Head of Corporate Development, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead end-to-end fundraising strategy including equity, debt, and hybrid financing solutions
- Identify, evaluate, and execute capital-raising opportunities with institutional investors, banks, and strategic partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, private equity firms, venture capital, and financial institutions
- Oversee preparation of investor materials (pitch decks, financial models, IMs, due diligence packs)
- Structure and negotiate financing terms, including valuation, covenants, and capital structure optimization
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, finance, and external advisors
- Drive corporate finance initiatives including capital allocation, liquidity planning, and balance sheet management
- Support M&A activities and strategic investments as part of broader capital strategy
- Partner with senior leadership to align fundraising strategy with corporate growth plans
- Monitor market conditions and provide insights on funding timing, structure, and risk
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements related to fundraising activities
A successful Head of Corporate Development should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or corporate development
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and capital structuring expertise
- Deep understanding of capital markets, investor landscape, and financing instruments
- Experience managing complex negotiations with investors and financial institutions
- Excellent strategic thinking and ability to translate business plans into financial strategies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- High level of commercial acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
