Job Description
As a Legal Counsel, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal advice and support across various business units within the organisation.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Managing legal risks and providing solutions to mitigate potential issues.
- Supporting regulatory filings and liaising with regulatory authorities when required.
- Assisting in dispute resolution and managing external counsel where necessary.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the financial services industry.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align legal strategies with business objectives.
A successful Legal Counsel should have:
- A degree in law and qualified to practice in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction.
- Over 3 years of experience in providing legal support in PE / Fund formation.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and regulatory requirements in financial services.
- Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Chinese both spoken and written
