A leading FinTech organization is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join their Cryptographic Operations team.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting the security infrastructure that protects payment and transaction processing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and implementing cryptographic solutions, including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), encryption key management, and payment security systems.
The role requires both operational support and project delivery experience, with occasional work at data center facilities and participation in scheduled maintenance windows.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) within a payment processing environment
• Perform cryptographic key management activities, including key generation, exchange, rotation, and lifecycle management
• Install, configure, and maintain HSM infrastructure across production environments
• Execute firmware upgrades, security updates, and system maintenance activities
• Support payment transaction monitoring and security operations
• Troubleshoot security-related incidents and transaction processing issues
• Participate in infrastructure and cybersecurity projects
• Work closely with internal technology, security, and operations teams to ensure secure transaction processing
• Provide support during scheduled maintenance windows, including evenings, weekends, and data center activities

Requirements Essential

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, or Security Engineering
• Strong understanding of cryptography, encryption technologies, and key management processes
• Hands-on experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
• Experience supporting payment processing, card payment, transaction processing, or financial services environments
• Experience performing system implementation, configuration, operational support, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of security controls and operational best practices

Preferred

• Experience with HSM platforms such as:
  • Thales payShield
  • Thales nShield
  • Entrust/nCipher
  • Futurex
  • Utimaco
• Knowledge of payment security standards and regulations
• Experience working within banking, payments, card services, or financial institutions
• Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure environments

Working Arrangements

• Traveling across TKO and Shek Mun Data Centers
• Participation in a rotating support roster
• Scheduled support hours may include:
  • Weeknight maintenance windows
  • Weekend maintenance windows (including overnight activities)
