Applications Support Engineer - Trading platform

A reputable and rapidly expanding financial services organization is seeking aApplication Support Engineer to join its growing technology team. The company operates in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment where system stability, performance, and reliability are essential to business success.

1. This role offers the opportunity to support high-availability financial systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain strong exposure to trading and enterprise applications within a dynamic financial environment.

1. Providing first-line application production support for the equity business, futures trading, mutual fund, virtual asset trading or operations, and being available outside office hours if needed

1. Managing, resolving, and investigating production system issues with system vendors and following up on cases, with a focus on equity trading and futures systems

1. Planning and executing internal testing for system upgrades, adhering to company standards and procedures.

1. Assisting in user acceptance testing and executing system deployments

1. Assisting in project management of application development projects

1. Perform health checks and maintaining system stability and availability for local and global markets.

1. Perform Incident and Change Management, provide the incident report to management.

1. Providing phone or remote support during non-office hours if required

1. Providing B2B application support

1. Vice President will supervise support team member and provide technical guidance to the development team

The ideal candidate:

1. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplines

1. At least 3 years of experience in application support, preferably in the financial industry

1. At least 1 years of experience in a first-line support role using Ayers/Sharp point or other OMS

1. Have application/technical supervisor experience

1. Working experience in brokerage or system vendor is an added advantage.

1. Knowledge of equity/futures trading and settlement system functionality, operation flow, HKex, and global market connectivity (direct or indirect)

1. Experience in dealing with end users and system vendors, problem-solving, and troubleshooting production issues

1. Experience in system problem-solving skills on production issue handling and production deployment

1. Exposure to other skills and application infrastructure, such as SQL query, FIX, Windows, Linux, VM Ware, backup, monitoring, and reporting

1. Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese

1. Candidate with supervision experience will be considered as Vice President, Application Support
