Securities Finance Trader & Collateral Management

Our business partner is a reputable foreign bank that is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Securities Finance Trader to join a dynamic Securities Finance team.

Your new role

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Execute securities borrowing and lending transactions within approved risk and operational parameters.
• Monitor and manage securities inventory, funding requirements, borrowing costs, lending revenues, and associated financing charges.
• Support daily trading activity, position management, and P&L monitoring.
• Partner closely with Operations, Middle Office, and Technology teams to ensure timely and accurate trade settlement.
• Monitor and optimize the use of cash and non-cash collateral to support efficient funding and balance sheet utilization.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, internal policies, and risk management standards
• Maintain a strong control environment across trade execution, booking accuracy, and life cycle management.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to excel in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of financial markets, collateral management, or securities financing is advantageous.
• Experience with Python, VBA, or data analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to build a career within financial markets and trading.
