Deputy Head of Operation (Project Management Focus) - Foreign Corporate Bank

Our client is a stable and expanding global corporate bank. They are currently looking for a Deputy Head of Operation to design & implement various banking operation projects . You will be actively working with various stakeholders to perform project & change management in order to achieve the pre-determined goal. You will also be assisting the head of operation & leadership team to manage the Remittance Operation, Loan Operation, Trade Finance Operation, Treasury Settlement Operation and Account Operation.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with regional & HQ senior management to design and execute various banking operation projects in order to enhance & expand Hong Kong Branch operation capacity and capability.
2. Closely working with internal & external stakeholders to performance change management.
3. Assist the head of operation to manage the bank’s operations (Remittance Operation, Loan Operation, Trade Finance Operation, Treasury Settlement Operation and Account Operation) in accordance with appropriate regulations.
4. Formulate bank operations strategies in order to ensure established policies and procedures are followed and delegating responsibilities to staff as needed to meet bank objectives.
5. Review & approve operation related transaction, documents & requests submitted by the teams
6. Review existing operation policies procedure to collaborate with senior executives to plan & implement process improvement initiatives
7. Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HKMA & Head Office Banking standards, policies and practices
8. Provide support to Remittance Operation, Loan Operation, Trade Finance Operation, Treasury Settlement Operation and Account Operation while the managers is absent

Requirements:

1. Degree or above
2. 15 years+ Corporate Banking change/ project management experience with proven track-record of successful project implementation
3. Prior Banking Operation experience in from one of the following areas: Remittance Operation OR Loan Operation OR Trade Finance Operation OR Treasury Settlement Operation OR Account Operation (KYC, CDD, AML) is a MUST
4. Solid experience with 5 years + professional leadership experience in a banking setting
5. Prior all-rounded hands on Corporate Banking/ Private Banking Operation experience would be highly preferable
