Our client, a Hong Kong-headquartered alternative asset management firm with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific region, is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist. This role is essential for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for Mid-Office Trading systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal users.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Frontline Liaison: Serve as the primary escalation point for internal users reporting technical issues across Trading systems.
  2. Issue Resolution: Respond to and close out support tickets efficiently, keeping operational downtime to a minimum.
  3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  4. Documentation: Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to enhance future reference and support efficiency.
  5. Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions for clients on system functionalities and best practices to optimize usage.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Actively spot opportunities to boost system performance and elevate the overall user experience.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated background in technical support—ideally within financial services or the hedge fund space.
  3. Strong understanding of financial systems, including trading platforms, risk management tools, and data analysis software.
  4. Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, coding capabilities, and network troubleshooting.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
