Investment Analyst | Single Family Office - Fund of Hedge Funds / Global Equities

Location: Hong Kong

Overview:

A single family office (backed by tech founder) is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Hong Kong investment team. Reporting directly to the Owner and CIO, the successful candidate will support investment research, due diligence, portfolio construction, and manager selection across hedge funds and public equities. The role offers broad exposure to global markets, with a particular focus on technology and internet-related investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research and due diligence on hedge fund managers and public equity investment opportunities
• Evaluate portfolio performance, risk profiles, and investment positioning across strategies
• Develop investment recommendations and present findings directly to the Owner and CIO
• Support portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager selection decisions
• Monitor global markets, macro developments, and sector-specific trends, particularly within technology and internet industries
• Maintain relationships with external fund managers, research providers, and industry participants
• Support thematic investment projects and ad hoc research initiatives

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of investment experience within hedge funds, fund of funds, asset management, family offices, or investment research platforms
• Strong exposure to hedge fund investing, manager research, fund selection, or global public equities, ideally with coverage of technology/ internet sectors
• Buy-side experience preferred; sell-side equity research will also be considered
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, and due diligence capabilities
• Fluent in both English and Chinese with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a lean investment team and interact directly with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated interest in global technology, internet, and innovation-driven investment themes
