Company Background

Our client is a leading European institution with a strong presence across investment banking, global markets, securities services and corporate banking. We are looking for a Global Markets Auditor (Associate or AVP) to join the Regional team in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct audits across the front-to-back Global Markets business, covering Equities, Prime Services, Fixed Income, Credit, FX and Derivatives activities across the Asia Pacific region
  2. Evaluate risk management processes, internal controls, compliance with regulatory requirements
  3. Identify control weaknesses and operational inefficiencies, providing clear, actionable recommendations to senior management
  4. Collaborate with business heads to understand evolving business practices, and emerging risks
  5. Prepare and present detailed audit reports, including findings, risk assessments, and actionable plans
  6. Support the development and continuous improvement of audit methodologies and tools specific to Global Markets activities.

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  2. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFA, or similar are highly desirable.
  3. Total 3-8 years of experience in Market Risk, Product/ Valuation Control, or Internal Audit within investment banking, preferably with a focus on global markets
  4. Strong understanding of financial products and front-office trading life cycle
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across functions and conveying complex issues clearly
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
