Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Compute & Storage)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise compute and storage platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
• Administer virtualisation environments and underlying infrastructure.
• Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system optimisation.
• Implement infrastructure upgrades, patches, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
• Participate in infrastructure design, testing, and deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards.
• Support security, risk, and compliance requirements across infrastructure platforms.
• Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure administration and support.
• Solid experience with enterprise server platforms, virtualisation technologies, and storage systems.
• Good understanding of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience with backup, monitoring, and infrastructure management tools.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• Virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar).
• Enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage).
• Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
• High-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
