Our client is a well-established Bank in Hong Kong with a strong market presence and diversified lending portfolio. Due to continued business growth, the bank is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join its Special Assets & Collections team.

Your new role
  • Manage delinquent and non-performing loan accounts across retail and commercial banking portfolios
  • Develop and execute recovery strategies to maximise debt recovery and minimise credit losses
  • Monitor collection agencies, legal actions and recovery vendors to ensure service quality and regulatory compliance
  • Review restructuring proposals, settlement arrangements and recovery recommendations
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess customers' repayment capabilities and recovery prospects
  • Prepare portfolio reports, collection updates and management information for senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with Risk, Legal and Business teams on recovery and special asset cases
  • Ensure collection and recovery processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in projects to enhance collection effectiveness and operational efficiency

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in collections, recovery, special assets, credit risk or remedial management within banking
  • Sound knowledge of retail and/or commercial lending products
  • Experience managing non-performing loans, debt restructuring and recovery actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of banking regulations and collection practices in Hong Kong
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese, including Mandarin
