Product Development, ETF & Index Solutions (Officer/Senior Officer/Manager) - Asset Manager

An established global asset manager with a strong Asia footprint is building out its Hong Kong ETF and index product bench. The role sits inside the Product Development and Innovation team, and the grade can flex from a junior seat through to Manager depending on experience. The door is genuinely open to both early-career talent and those with a few cycles under their belt.

What you'll do

1. Research ETF, index and passive product opportunities across markets, from concept through to launch.
2. Interrogate large datasets to build the market intelligence behind product decisions, using platforms like Bloomberg and Morningstar.
3. Support the design and calibration of index strategies, benchmarks and passive vehicle structures.
4. Manage the lifecycle of live products, from performance monitoring through to enhancements.
5. Partner with investment, distribution, operations, legal and compliance teams to move initiatives forward.
6. Contribute to broader platform strategy and pick up ad-hoc projects as they arise.

What you'll bring

1. Either zero to one year of relevant experience, or three to five years in an ETF, index research, passive products or product development seat within asset management.
2. Genuine interest in ETFs, indexing and passive investment strategies; direct exposure to indexing through the full cycle is a strong plus.
3. Comfort with large datasets and hands-on fluency with Bloomberg, Morningstar and similar research platforms.
4. Bachelor's degree in a numerate or business-facing discipline (quantitative finance, accounting and finance, economics, business administration or similar).
5. Working proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, with the ability to read Traditional Chinese.
6. Practical exposure to modern data analytics or AI-powered tools.
7. Sharp communicator, well organised, and a genuine team player.
