Business Analyst

Overview

Our client, a leading bank, is seeking a Business Analyst to support a credit card merchant onboarding transformation project. The initiative aims to replace the existing paper-based merchant onboarding process with a new digitalized platform.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of a credit card merchant onboarding digitalization project.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional and system requirements for the IT team.
• Conduct gap analysis and support AS-IS / TO-BE process design.
• Act as the bridge between business users and regional IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate closely with the regional IT team to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support implementation activities.
• Support testing activities, including UAT preparation, execution, and defect tracking.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with internal governance and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Engage with internal stakeholders across business and technology functions, with occasional interaction with external merchants and partners.

Requirements.

• Around 3+ years of Business Analyst experience within banking or financial services.
• Solid hands-on experience in banking system implementation projects.
• Mandatory experience with card systems, preferably involving merchant onboarding, acquiring, merchant machine, or credit card-related platforms.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into technical/system requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent Cantonese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with regional teams.
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional and regional project environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with merchant acquiring or payment-related systems.
• Exposure to digital transformation or workflow automation projects.
• Familiarity with JIRA for requirement and project tracking.
