AML Manager (Private Banking), Regional Bank (40-55K)

Your new role

• Conduct AML/CFT reviews for Private Banking clients, including account opening, periodic reviews, trigger event reviews, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Review and approve KYC/CDD documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Assess high-risk customers, politically exposed persons (PEPs), complex ownership structures, trusts, and offshore entities.
• Perform investigations on transaction monitoring alerts, name screening alerts, sanctions-related cases, and adverse media findings.
• Identify, assess, and escalate suspicious activities, and support the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where necessary.
• Provide AML advisory support to business stakeholders on customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence matters.
• Participate in AML/CFT control reviews, compliance monitoring, and quality assurance exercises.
• Support periodic AML risk assessments and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist in implementing new regulatory requirements, policy enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and Head Office on AML/CFT-related matters.
• Deliver AML guidance and training to business units to strengthen AML awareness and control effectiveness.
• Participate in AML-related projects and other ad hoc assignments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Require 5-6+ years of AML experience. Experience of covering PB clients is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Private Banking products, services, customer profiles, and the regulatory landscape, with the ability to effectively identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
• Professional AML/Financial Crime certifications such as AAMLP, CAMS, CGSS, ICA, or equivalent will be highly regarded.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven professional with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability.

• Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese.
