Data Modeller (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data modelling activities, including requirements analysis, subject-area modelling, source-to-target mapping, and model validation.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional, and canonical data models that support business, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with business SMEs, data architects, governance teams, and engineers to ensure data models are accurate, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Define and document data entities, relationships, business rules, lineage, metadata, data quality requirements, and governance controls.
• Review and guide implementation of data models across databases, lakehouses, APIs, and data products while ensuring consistency and reducing duplication.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience in data modelling, data architecture, or data warehousing.
• Proven experience creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational, dimensional, and canonical data modelling, normalization, data integration patterns, SQL, and data quality practices.
• Hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, or similar platforms, and familiarity with cloud and lakehouse technologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with insurance industry experience highly preferred.
