Front Office Software Engineer - eTrading

Join a global financial institution's technology team developing high-performance electronic trading solutions across global markets.

You will work closely with Front Office traders and business stakeholders to build and enhance applications supporting electronic trading, pricing, execution, market connectivity and real-time analytics.

The team is particularly interested in candidates with FX or Fixed Income experience, although developers from other asset classes such as Equities / Equity Derivatives are also welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance electronic trading, pricing and execution applications
• Work closely with traders and Front Office stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technology solutions
• Develop real-time, high-performance and low-latency applications
• Take ownership of key components and contribute to technical design and architecture
• Work across the full SDLC, including design, development, testing and production support
• Analyse and resolve production issues in a business-critical trading environment
• Collaborate with global technology and business teams
• Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling and platform capabilities

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience in C#/.NET
• Experience within electronic trading, financial markets or another real-time technology environment
• Strong experience working directly with Front Office / traders / business stakeholders
• Ideally, experience within FX, Fixed Income, Equities or Equity Derivatives
• Knowledge of market data, trading workflows, FIX or financial messaging is advantageous
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, low latency or performance optimisation is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
