Director – Institutional Sales & IR (Japan Coverage)

Drive business development, fundraising, and investor relations for a buyside fund platform with a focus on Japan coverage. Target institutional investors and private wealth channels, while leading the origination and syndication of private and alternative investment products to Japanese securities firms and distribution partners.

1. Fundraising & IR: Lead capital raising across buyside fund products with Japanese institutional investors, family offices, and wealth managers.
2. Origination & Syndication: Oversee the origination, structuring, and syndication of private and alternative products to local securities houses and private wealth platforms.
3. Client Coverage: Maintain key Japanese client relationships, managing product delivery and end-to-end investor onboarding.

1. Proven track record in institutional sales, IR, or fundraising within asset management, private equity, or hedge funds.
2. Strong existing network across Japanese institutional investors, private banks, and securities houses.
3. Solid understanding of buyside fund structures and alternative product syndication.
4. Native/business-fluent Japanese and fluent English; open to frequent travel.
