Our client is a well-established international financial institution seeking an experienced Settlement professional to join its Operations team in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong listed derivatives expertise who are looking to broaden their exposure to OTC products, collateral management, and operational enhancement initiatives within a dynamic trading environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for Exchange-Traded Futures & Options (F&O), including trade capture, booking, matching, and settlement support.
  • Perform daily trade reconciliations and affirmations with exchanges, clearing houses, and executing brokers, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Handle derivatives lifecycle events such as option exercises, assignments, expiries, and corporate actions where applicable.
  • Support OTC derivatives operations, including collateral management, margin processing, trade repository reporting, portfolio reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, exchange rules, and internal operational controls.
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, and external counterparties on daily operational matters.
  • Participate in new product launches, system implementations, process enhancements, automation initiatives, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Maintain and enhance operational procedures and controls to support business growth.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with approximately 5-8 years of experience in Derivatives Operations, Middle Office, or Back Office functions within banking, securities, brokerage, or financial services.
  • Solid hands-on experience supporting Exchange-Traded Futures & Options across major global exchanges.
  • Strong understanding of derivatives trade lifecycle management, settlement processes, and operational risk controls.
  • Exposure to OTC derivatives operations, collateral management, margining, portfolio reconciliation, or regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives being highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx or similar workflow automation tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
