Your new role
- Support the daily booking, monitoring, and management of securities borrowing and return transactions.
- Investigate, monitor, and resolve operational exceptions and trade-related discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Perform reconciliations, control checks, and data validations to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Produce regular management reporting, operational metrics, and ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making.
- Monitor inventory availability and securities positions, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Identify inefficiencies within existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Design and implement automation solutions, reporting tools, and workflow enhancements to reduce manual effort and mitigate operational risk.
- Partner with business and technology teams to support process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience within Securities Finance, Financial Markets Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support, or a related operational environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, VBA, or similar data analysis and automation tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing automation solutions, dashboards, or reporting frameworks that improve operational efficiency.
- Ability to interpret and analyse large datasets to identify trends, exceptions, and optimisation opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Business, and Technology teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
