Senior Manager - Claims specialist - BA

An established organisation within the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Business Analysis Manager to lead business transformation initiatives across operations and technology. This position will play a key role in driving process improvements, system enhancements, and digital innovation programmes while managing a team of Business Analysts.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer outcomes, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across multiple transformation and change programmes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology delivery.
• Partner with operational and business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and design practical, end-to-end solutions.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts, promoting best practices, governance standards, and continuous professional development.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, business case development, impact analyses, and benefits realisation activities to support decision-making.
• Gather, document, validate, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with technology teams, project managers, and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test strategy, test case preparation, defect management, and final sign-off activities.
• Contribute to project governance, project planning, risk management, and PMO-related deliverables.
• Develop training materials and support business readiness activities to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and process optimisation projects.
• Ensure implemented solutions comply with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry developments, and business analysis methodologies to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams of Business Analysts within a complex corporate environment.
• Strong background in business analysis, process transformation, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience working within the insurance industry, with exposure to policy administration, claims operations, or customer servicing functions.
• Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and change management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
• Experience delivering large-scale system implementation or transformation projects will be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to AI, automation, digital transformation, data analytics, or emerging technologies is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CBAP, Agile certifications, or postgraduate qualifications would be beneficial.
