About the job

Responsibilities:

  1. Fund Sourcing & Allocation Access: Proactively source and establish direct relationships with top-tier and boutique hedge funds (e.g., quant, L/S equity, macro) and private equity (PE) managers.
  2. Secure scarce subscription allocations and exclusive onboarding quotas for capacity-constrained, oversubscribed, or hard-closed funds.
  3. Fund Onboarding & Due Diligence: Lead the end-to-end fund onboarding process, including commercial terms negotiation, investment and operational due diligence , internal committee approvals for new launches.
  4. Investment Support & Product Advisory: Provide Relationship Managers (RMs) and clients with deep-dive technical advisory on hedge fund strategies, manager track records, and portfolio construction to drive AUM and revenue growth.
  5. Lifecycle Management & Monitoring: Oversee the full fund lifecycle, including transaction processing, liquidity and capacity monitoring, ongoing performance attribution, and mandatory periodic due diligence reviews.
  6. System Optimization & Process Enhancements: Define business requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for fund platforms and operational workflows to support complex alternative investment structures.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline.
  2. Experience: 5+ years in private banking, fund-of-funds (FoF), hedged fund, or top-tier wealth management platforms. Direct experience in fund sourcing, GP relations, or alternative investment product selection/sales.
  3. Technical Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of hedge fund strategies (systematic, discretionary, arbitrage, event-driven), PE fund structures (feeder funds, co-investments), asset allocation frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Tools : Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office (advanced Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Bloomberg or alternative fund databases is preferred.
  5. Language : Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
  6. Competencies : High-caliber negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Rigorous attention to detail in legal/operational documentation and risk controls.
