Investor Relations Associate — Quantitative Hedge Fund

A fast-growing, technology-led quantitative hedge fund is hiring an Investor Relations Associate in Hong Kong to work directly with its CEO and co-founder. The firm runs market-neutral and other systematic strategies on an unusually strong in-house technology and AI research platform, has recently secured a major institutional mandate, and is still expanding.

The role

1. Work alongside the CEO and co-founder on fundraising and investor coverage.
2. Own the follow-up after conferences and investor meetings — materials, notes, next steps and the CRM.
3. Keep existing and prospective investors engaged through regular updates and catch-ups.
4. Prepare pitch materials, due diligence questionnaires and data requests with the investment and operations teams.
5. Travel with the CEO to investor meetings in the US and Europe, roughly monthly.

You will need

1. Around three years in hedge-fund investor relations, prime brokerage capital introduction, hedge-fund investor coverage, or marketing quantitative and systematic investment products — ideally at a quantitative or systematic fund today.
2. A genuine understanding of how hedge funds, and quant strategies in particular, work and are allocated to. Investor relationships alone are not enough, and a private-markets background on its own is unlikely to be the right fit.
3. Polished written and spoken English, and the confidence to support a founder in front of global allocators.
4. Energy for regular international travel and a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
