  • Our client, a leading regional banking group, is seeking an experienced HR to oversee the Total Rewards & HR Policy function. Leading a lean team, this individual will play a key role in driving compensation and benefits strategy, advising senior management on reward-related decisions, managing Group reporting requirements, and ensuring robust HR governance and policy compliance. An ideal candidate will be a commercially minded HR leader with strong analytical capabilities, who is comfortable using market data and workforce insights to influence compensation decisions at both local and Group levels. The successful candidate will combine expertise in Total Rewards with sound HR policy and compliance knowledge, while possessing the presentation skills and executive presence to engage effectively with senior management and headquarters stakeholders.

Your new role
  • Lead and manage the Total Rewards and HR Policy function, providing leadership to a lean team.
  • Drive annual compensation and benefits reviews, including salary benchmarking, market analysis, budgeting, and incentive planning.
  • Conduct workforce and compensation analytics to formulate data-driven recommendations on salary structures, benefits, and reward programmes.
  • Partner closely with senior management, Finance, and Group HR to recommend compensation and benefits changes that support business and talent objectives.
  • Prepare and present reward proposals, market insights, and workforce cost analyses to senior stakeholders and regional headquarters.
  • Act as the key contact for Group HR on compensation, benefits, governance, and reporting matters.
  • Oversee the preparation of HR management reports, workforce analytics, and Group reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review, develop, and enhance HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on HR governance, employment-related matters, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor legislative and market developments and recommend policy or reward framework enhancements where appropriate.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on compensation strategy, policy governance, and workforce planning initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree holder in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of HR experience with strong expertise in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Policies, and Governance within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven track record in leading compensation reviews, salary benchmarking exercises, and reward strategy development.
  • Experience partnering with Regional or Group HR stakeholders and providing recommendations on compensation and benefits programmes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, develop business cases, and formulate strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management and headquarters stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, HR compliance, governance, and employment regulations.
  • Demonstrated people management experience and ability to lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across various levels of the organisation.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
