Your new company

Our client is a well-established organisation currently investing in strengthening its digital enablement, software governance, and IT vendor management capabilities. As part of this initiative, they are looking for a Manager to establish structured processes covering software governance, vendor performance, licensing, renewals, and digital service optimisation across a broad range of enterprise applications, cloud services, and SaaS/PaaS solutions.

Your new role
  • Partner with business stakeholders and end-users across various business functions to understand operational requirements and recommend suitable digital solutions that support business objectives.
  • Review technology proposals and business requirements to ensure solutions are commercially viable, scalable, and aligned with organisational needs.
  • Analyse software utilisation, subscription consumption, vendor performance, and spending trends to identify optimisation opportunities and maximise return on technology investments.
  • Provide management reporting and recommendations covering vendor performance, technology expenditure, software utilisation, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Develop and establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operational processes to support the effective management of digital services and technology vendors.
  • Create and maintain a centralised view of software subscriptions, technology assets, vendor agreements, service commitments, and renewal schedules.
  • Manage external relationships with IT vendors and technology partners to ensure service quality and contractual obligations are met.
  • Review vendor contracts, licensing models, service level agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms to identify risks, opportunities, and optimisation measures.
  • Ensure visibility of software renewals, contractual obligations, notice periods, and commercial milestones across the technology portfolio.
  • Lead or support contract renewal planning and vendor engagement activities, including pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and service reviews.
  • Support compliance reviews, vendor audits, and governance initiatives to ensure software and technology services are managed appropriately.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Information Technology, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience within the technology sector, ideally with exposure to IT service management, PMO, technology procurement, vendor management, software governance, change management, digital enablement, or related disciplines. Candidates from both end-user organisations and major software, cloud, or technology vendors will also be considered.
  • Proven experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to identify technology optimisation opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Good understanding of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, SaaS/PaaS solutions, and common software subscription or licensing models.
  • Experience managing contracts, commercial negotiations, vendor performance reviews, and technology supplier relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to assess pricing structures, licensing terms, service commitments, and contractual obligations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certifications related to IT service management (such as ITIL) would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin); and currently based in Hong Kong with valid work authorization.
  • Candidates with less experience but strong potential may be considered for the Senior Solution Analyst position.
