Responsible Officer 4 9 - Chinese Asset Management Director

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Responsible Officer (Type 9) to join our Asset Management platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in investment management, product development, regulatory oversight, and business growth across both public and private market strategies.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as a Responsible Officer (Type 9) and support the overall management of the asset management business.

· Participate in investment activities across public and private markets, including investment evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.

· Support fund setup, product structuring, and product management initiatives.

· Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to SFC requirements and internal policies.

· Support fundraising, investor relations, and business development activities.

· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on fund operations, governance, and reporting.

Requirements

· Holder of Hong Kong SFC Type 9 Responsible Officer qualification.

· 8+ years of relevant experience in asset management, investment management, private credit, private equity, hedge funds, or related financial institutions.

· Experience in both investment management and product management.

· Exposure to public and/or private market investments.

· Familiarity with fund structuring, regulatory requirements, and asset management operations.

· Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

· Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in fund setup, fundraising, and investor relations.

· Experience managing private credit, private equity, multi-asset, or alternative investment strategies.

· Existing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, or distribution channels would be an advantage.
