Key Areas of Responsibility 1. End‑to‑End Clearing & Settlement Management
  1. Oversee full lifecycle clearing and settlement operations across multi‑market, multi‑asset products (HK equities, A‑shares via Stock Connect, US/global equities, futures, options, bonds, structured products, and funds).
  2. Supervise daily reconciliations, fund transfers, and securities settlements; resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  3. Identify, investigate, and resolve clearing breaks and failed trades to minimize operational risk.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely processing of corporate actions, including dividends, rights issues, stock splits, and reverse splits.
2. Department Management & Process Optimization
  1. Lead, mentor, and evaluate settlement team performance; set KPIs and foster a culture of accountability.
  2. Continuously review workflows and leverage technology to enhance straight‑through processing (STP) rates.
  3. Ensure compliance with SFC and HKEX regulations, including short selling, position limits, and CCASS operations.
  4. Develop and maintain internal operating guidelines, business continuity plans (BCP), and internal control frameworks to mitigate operational risks.
3. Cross‑Departmental Coordination & External Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Collaborate with front‑office trading, risk management, finance, and other departments to resolve cross‑functional issues.
  2. Act as primary liaison with external institutions such as HKSCC, HKEX, custodian banks, and brokers to manage settlement exceptions and disputes.

 Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in clearing, settlement, or operations within the Hong Kong securities industry; knowledge of HK and US markets is an advantage.
  3. At least 5 years of team management experience, ideally in a cross‑functional environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of full lifecycle operations for multi‑market/multi‑asset products and Hong Kong regulatory framework (SFC and HKEX rules).
  5. Deep understanding of clearing and settlement system architecture and operations.
  6. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  8. Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken); Mandarin proficiency preferred.
