Fund Operations - Hedge Fund

The organisation seeks a Fund Operations professional to oversee hedge fund accounting, NAV reviews and key fund activities, with broad exposure to financial reporting, fund audits and regulatory compliance through close collaboration with key investment service providers.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle daily fund accounting activities and review Fund Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion in coordination with fund administrators
• Coordinate annual fund audits, acting as a key liaison with external auditors and responding to audit requests. Manage FATCA/CRS and other tax filings and reporting
• Assist with new business initiatives, including fund and managed account setup and onboarding, new account openings, and system migrations
• Support the preparation of operational and investor reports, as well as regulatory filings, in line with fund and regulatory requirements
• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations with custodians and fund administrators, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Liaise with fund administrators, custodians and other service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day fund operations
• Assist with subscriptions, redemptions and other capital activities, including related investor communications
• Support ad hoc projects related to fund governance, compliance and process improvement

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
• 2-5 years' relevant experience in fund administration, fund accounting or fund operations within asset management or fund administration
• Solid knowledge of fund NAV preparation and the fund audit process
• Prior exposure to Private Equity and Hedge Fund structures is strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, with solid analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with fund accounting or portfolio management systems is an advantage
• Must be based in Hong Kong
