VP/SVP, Financial Markets Sales (Corporate Banking)

A well-established Asian bank is building out its financial markets sales desk in Hong Kong and wants a senior producer to come in at SVP level and make it their own.

If you have spent years building a loyal client following and want a serious regional platform to grow it on, this is a rare chance to run your own book with real autonomy and a strong balance sheet behind you.

About the opportunity

You will sell the bank’s treasury and structured product range and own your client relationships from first call to close. The platform is built around deposits, structured deposits (dual currency investments, callable structures) and interest rate solutions, so you will be at your best with clients who hold healthy cash balances.

Your focus

1. Win and grow your own portfolio of financial markets clients
2. Sell deposits, structured deposits and interest rate linked solutions
3. Run every relationship end to end, with the independence of a senior desk
4. Build long-term, revenue-generating client partnerships

What we are after

1. 10+ years in financial markets or treasury sales
2. An established, transferable client base, ideally cash rich
3. One of two backgrounds:
4. FI sales: you currently sell interest rate linked structured notes to private banks and commercial banks, or
5. Corporate sales: you cover corporates, ideally with a PRC background and strong ties to China SOEs and large private enterprises (some Cantonese a plus)
6. A self-starting, entrepreneurial operator who thrives running independently
