Senior Full Stack Software Engineer — Investment Tooling — Global Hedge Fund Hong Kong | Permanent

BAH Partners is working with a leading global hedge fund to hire a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for its Investment Tooling team in Hong Kong.

This role combines hands-on development with direct interaction with Portfolio Managers, Traders and other investment professionals. You will build applications supporting investment workflows, including order management and portfolio management tools, while helping shape the technology delivered to APAC users.

What you will do

1. Develop full-stack applications using C# or Java alongside modern frontend technologies.
2. Work directly with investment professionals to understand requirements and translate them into practical software.
3. Own projects from design and development through testing, release and ongoing improvement.
4. Build scalable systems and improve existing investment workflows.
5. Help local users understand and adopt the tools available across the global platform.
6. Represent APAC requirements within the wider engineering team and contribute to the product roadmap.
7. Collaborate with colleagues across Asia and the UK.

What they are looking for

1. Approximately five or more years of professional software engineering experience.
2. Strong hands-on development skills in C# or Java.
3. Experience building modern frontend applications using React, Angular, Vue or similar technologies.
4. Strong software design, problem-solving and SQL/data-analysis skills.
5. A track record of delivering production applications and owning workstreams independently.
6. Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with demanding business stakeholders.
7. An energetic, proactive approach and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Experience in investment banking, hedge funds or asset management is preferred. Exceptional engineers from other industries may also be considered.
