Project Manager - Financial Industry

A leading organisation within the Financial Services sector in Hong Kong is undertaking a large-scale infrastructure and cloud transformation initiative. The team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the migration of critical systems and infrastructure services between cloud vendors, ensuring smooth delivery, minimal business disruption, and strong stakeholder alignment.

Your new role
As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading end-to-end infrastructure and cloud migration projects from planning through implementation and post-migration support.
• Managing the transition of systems and services across cloud platforms and technology vendors.
• Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, cloud providers, infrastructure engineers, and external vendors to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocation, and project governance frameworks.
• Coordinating infrastructure upgrade, migration, testing, cutover, and production deployment activities.
• Identifying project risks, dependencies, and issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring milestones are delivered on time and within budget.
• Managing vendor performance and ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and service requirements.
• Facilitating project steering committee meetings and providing regular status updates to senior management.
• Ensuring compliance with internal technology standards, security requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Supporting change management activities and driving successful adoption of new infrastructure platforms and services.

What you'll need to succeed

• 4+ years of experience in project manager, project coordinator, or related roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, cloud migration, or data centre transformation projects.
• Experience delivering technology projects within Financial Services, Banking, Regulatory Bodies, or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, cloud migration, infrastructure transformation, or hybrid cloud environments is preferred.
• Experience coordinating multiple internal teams and external technology vendors.
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, security, and middleware components.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and governance processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery approaches.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
