Rent Reduction Due to Interior Construction

Hello,

My landlord recently conducted a fifteen day renovation of crumbling plaster inside my apartment. This was upon my pointing out the very bad condition of the ceiling and walls in several places. All rooms were affected.

My question is: Is it reasonable and customary to expect a rent reduction for this month? Seeing as the apartment itself was unlivable for more than half of July, filled with dust and fumes, forcing us to spend a minimum amount of time at home (including staying with friends during the renovation of the master bedroom), I have requested a reduction, which the landlord has rejected.

I am curious as to both the legal and customary practice here. I can't find anything in my lease that seems relevant. But I've lived in this space for over five years, and once previously under a similar situation, he granted a rent reduction during works.

Thanks in advance for your help!

it is not common practice for rent deduction in such circumstances and you have no legal resources either.
