Just to share some of my experience in setting up a SFC-licensed corporation in HK. You have to obtain a SFC licence in order to carry out regulated activity such as asset management and brokerage businesses. There are many firms providing assistance in such SFC licensing application, however, the price range is very board.

Law firms and Big 4s usually charge a very high price compared to compliance consultancy firms. That's why I suggest you to use compliance consultancy firms because the licensing procedures are pretty standard and I note that most of the compliance consultancy firms are competent to handle that.

As to which compliance consultancy firms we should choose, I suggest to select some small to medium ones because the partners usually direct handle your application instead of deploying junior consultants.
