Hello there,
I will be getting married in HK in July, but we are currently living in Shenzhen. Neither of us are from around here and have very few friends as we are quite new to the area.
Would it be risky to wait until the day and hope we can find strangers outside who would be willing to witness our marriage? is that something that happens or very rare?
My family lives in the UK and i will have a wedding there in the future, so i didnt want to bother them to fly out here just to see me get a certificate.
any suggestions or advice would be great.

Hi mmdr3721, thanks for messaging me.
I don't really want to put anyone out or take up peoples time by arranging to go to the ceremony. Its quite a straight forward process and not much of an event i'm afraid. thats why i was wondering if it was possible to just ask people who may already be there or around there.
Its going to be July Monday 28th at the Sha Tin Office. I'm guessing most will be at work.
Your offer is very kind and i appropriate it. But please don't go out of your way, hopefully i will be able to sort something out.
