Last Friday (nov 29) I got the offer from my dream company so I went to lkf with my 2 other female friends. We went to solas after midnight and met this man at a table in the corner. it was too noisy so I did not catch his name and it was too dark to see his face clearly. But when we talked a bit, seemed he shared a lot of common interests in life with me! We like history, we love pets, we enjoy country life. I did not notice that we spoke more than 1 hour in such loud environment. Then I went to the restroom. When I came back I sat next to my friends speaking a bit. But a while later I found he was gone! I even did not ask his name! The only few things I know is he s British, went to law school in Cambridge university, just been in hk for one month, work in Bank of America, before was in their London office. Has a younger brother and his mum is 54 years old.
He is such a charming guy when he talks and I keep feeling sad in the past week. The happiness of my dream offer is gone totally when I knew he left. I think he also enjoyed our conversation. But really don't know why he did not ask for my contact. Maybe he did not get used to hk lkf culture, and myself is so used to waiting for men approaching me.
Anyway, just want to find him and see him again.

Maybe I don't go to lkf enough. At least it was my first time meeting someone interesting there. I just feel it was a pity. Maybe he thought I was not interested because I did not come back to where I were before went to restroom but sat a bit far talking with my friends for quite some time.
Well maybe you are right that he did not want to keep the contact. But I just wanted to find him and know it myself.
Ps: it s really hard and takes a lot of courage for me to share this here. I won't expect someone knows him will see it here. But at least I gave tried and won't regret later.

definitely you sent him the wrong message when you left and not returned immediately. next time, return immediately, talk, wait until he asks for your contact number and if he doesn't ask, then you ask.

Thanks. My friends said the same thing. But come on, if I was not interested, how could I stayed with him talking for more than one and half hours! He should have known that I was interested from my reaction to his talk. He is very smart. Maybe not the best looking but definitely smart and charming.
Now I just want to find him. Not at all interested in finding next one. I think he told me where he lives. But without knowing his full name, it is so defficult to check it out. I can not just wait in front of his building. Any smart way ?

Malka, thanks for your advice. I am quite a passive person in relationship. one or twice in my life that i want to take the initiatives. this time is one of them. I just feel so lost and it rarely happened to me before. I could spend some time in front of his building, but i am not even sure that i can recognize his face! And the residence he is living has quite a lot of residents!
I never have high expectations on LKF. that day was purely to celebrate my new job with friends. So that's why I also feel that was something extraordinary. i had quite some conversations with people there but never of this kind.
I need some courage to do so or smart ideas. But do thank you for the advices :)

difficult to find him back where i have "lost" him. as we met in a club Solas! i know it sounds really stupid that i have this crush on someone i met in a club! i could not believe myself neither.
i have asked one friend who also works in Bank of America to lay his eyes on someone new, from London, round face, beard. but it is like looking for a needle in a haystack:(
i went to Solas last Friday. as expected, got no luck.
maybe lingering around his residence is a better idea, lol. Or even post some Looking for Person ad on the street (just kidding)

I just had a breakthrough in my searching. I think I just found his friend, who was also there that night on Linkedin. (weird enough, i remember his friend's name and recognize his face. hopefully i did not mistake). Just sent him an email 30 mins ago. Finger crossed for his reply.
