I am just curious if the belief that men only like to date younger women is true. It seems like younger men have a more open view regarding age, the often used quote "age is just a number " comes to mind, but somehow as men age this view changes.
This is unfortunate as it seems as women age they also prefer to date younger. I was curious if there was a group of men who just prefer to date older women , regardless of their age .

Yes, I totally agree with your interpretation of male/female preferences.
However, there are exceptions and I'm sure if you really wanted to date a younger bloke and weren't concerned with other people's opinions, then go ahead.
Where I'm from, it's considered impolite to ask a woman's age, so I won't, but I do know a lot of HK ladies have ravishing figures and are beautiful to boot.
