Sleep Apnea: oral devices and recommendations

Hi All,

I had a sleep study done in 2010 and it pointed out a moderate case of sleep apnea. I was put on cpap machine that I used for 1.5 years. My sleep gradually improved and I stopped using the machine in 2012

Now fast forward 2017, I have gained weight and started experience the original symptoms: sleepiness, fatigue, disturbed sleep etc again and I am pretty sure its the sleep apnea due to 15 kgs weight gain. I am working on losing weight but it will obviously take time.

My insurance sucks now and hence I don't want to get a sleep study done again. I want to try an oral device that's aimed at fixing mild to moderate sleep apnea first and see how it goes, before exploring other options.

has anybody experienced getting an oral device for OSA in HK or online? or getting/renting a CPAP for a few days? Please share your experience and recommendations

thanks a lot!
