For new expats, some of the inconveniences and pests may seem unusual at first, but they’re simply part of everyday life for locals. - Air-Conditioner Drips – HK’s ubiquitous air-conditioning is a lifesaver during sweltering summers, but it comes with an annoying side effect, dripping water from old air-conditioning units that may not have proper drainage. You’ll find yourself dodging random drops of water that feel like a mini rain shower. Not exactly refreshing, and definitely not clean!
- Cockroaches – Meet the local residents: huge, fast and bold.
