These 2 chairs are replicas of Ming Dynasty Horseshoe Back Armchairs. They have been reconstructed with old walnut and have ruyi carvings. They were purchased from Altfield in Hong Kong for HKD 17,000 per chair.
The money raised from 1 chair (HKD 11,000) will be donated to The New Normal Charity's 11 for 11 - Men's Mental Health: A Life-Saving Fundraiser to cover the training of 8 men with lived mental health experiences to faciliate peer support groups for English-speaking men and to subsidise suicide prevention courses for people who work with vulnerable men.
