Hk Kennedy Town Baptist Church

The creation of the Baptist Church in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong began with the initiative of the Missionary Department of the Hong Kong Baptist Association. In the early 1970s, the city of Sanshilou was identified and purchased. At that time, the Leighton Road Baptist Church, now the Aiqun Road Baptist Church, learned that the Gospel Church in Kennedy Town had been opened, and applied to serve as the Mother Church of the Society, fully supporting the work of the Society. In 1972, Chen Jinhong preached for Malaysia to come to Hong Kong as the director of the church. The opening ceremony was held on November 4, 1973. In 1980, Rev. Chen Jinhong resigned. In 1983, Mr. Chen Huojiang was appointed as the preacher and he became a church on November 13th of the same year.
