The Aberdeen Boat Club was founded in 1967 by like-minded yachting enthusiasts and sports fishermen who wished to enjoy access to the seas off the southern side of Hong Kong Island. The Club was initially housed in relatively humble premises, and incorporated as the Aberdeen Boat Club Ltd. in 1967. The club moved into its current purpose-built premises in 1979/80 and has since become one of Hong Kong’s favourite recreational boating and sailing clubs

The Discovery Bay Yacht Club is based in Discovery Bay on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. We are yacht owners and sailors who enjoy fun and friendly regattas, cruises and races. Since our first regatta in September 1999, we have grown into one of the premier sailing clubs in Hong Kong and our members have competed very successfully in many local races as well as to the Philippines, Vietnam & Thailand. We host about 20 events each year, including day racing, islands cruising, weekend race rallies, BBQ's & parties. We aim to explore those parts of Hong Kong which are otherwise inaccessible. Our aims are twofold: to draw local sailors together in friendly and social sailing events, and to introduce beginners to the fun of sailing and racing yachts.

Established in 1963, The Hebe Haven Yacht Club has been providing yachting and boating facilities as a private members club in the picturesque bay of Pak Sha Wan in Sai Kung for over 50 years. The surrounding coastline and nearby islands in Port Shelter provide some of the best sailing waters and beaches in Hong Kong

The Hobie Club offers some of the city’s most exhilarating and affordable sailing. Located on To Tei Wan beach close to Stanley and just 30 minutes from Central, we enjoy easy access to Tai Tam Bay and the spectacular open sea beyond. The Club is home to two main types of boat: Hobie 16s: Since Hobie Alter unleashed this revolutionary beach cat on the world in the 1970s, over 100,000 have been produced. Simple, durable and easy to rig, Hobie 16s offer twin-trapeze sailing and exhilarating performance with speeds of 20 knots plus! Formula 18 Hobie Tigers and Wildcats: Longer and wider than the Hobie 16, these boats have a spinnaker, dagger boards and more complex rig. They really come into their own when you hoist the kite on a downwind leg and the awesome spinnaker power kicks in. Definitely not for beginners or those with heart problems.

Based at the end of Discovery Bay beach, Lantau Boat Club caters for non-powered water sports, specifically sailing (catamarans and dinghies), paddling (outrigger canoes, surfskis, kayaks), and coastal rowing (singles, pairs, quads). Located on a gently sloping sandy beach, it is an ideal location for sailing, paddling, and rowing in the warm waters of Hong Kong. Run entirely on a voluntary, nonprofit basis, the club has space for roughly 70 sailboats, with secure storage for sails. Catamarans are the most popular type of boat, and the club has a large fleet of Dart 18s, Hobie 16s, and Formula boats (F18s and F16s). We also have many social members who join us for our races.

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) is one of the oldest and largest sports clubs in Hong Kong, with a rich, colourful history that spans 170 years of community and competitive sailing and rowing. The RHKYC provides training programmes for practitioners of all abilities and ages -- both members and non-members -- to nurture their development, produce elite athletes capable of competing at the highest levels, and contribute to the growth and popularity of these great pastimes. The Club also organises a full calendar of high-profile local and international race events, helping place Hong Kong firmly on the global sporting map.
