Addiction to drugs or alcohol can affect the wellbeing of the entire family and it is often referred to as a family illness. Families Anonymous is an international network of support groups for those who have known a feeling of desperation concerning the use of drugs or alcohol of a family member. If the habits or actions of someone very near to you are seriously affecting your life and your ability to function normally, Families Anonymous may be able to help. There are no fees or charges and the anonymity of members is strictly protected. Families Anonymous is dedicated to doing something constructive about our approach to a family member’s problem. We learn from each other’s experiences, support each other through crises and, in learning to live our lives, we often set the stage for the recovery of the family member who caused us to come to this programme. Families Anonymous meets every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.
