One of the most important principles of homeopathic medicine is that treatment is tailored to individual needs. Even when two people are battling the same illness they have different natural tendencies (or “constitutions” as it is referred to by homeopaths). This is why we take into account things like your preferences, your stress-levels and your emotional health. We talk in depth with all our patients not just to understand the symptoms but to talk about all areas of their lives, including family history, previous illnesses, eating habits and so on. In addition to our consultations we may refer to a naturopathic practitioner, if further diagnostic lab tests are needed.

Maya Health Institute for natural therapies is situated in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Our specialist team includes a qualified homeopathic practitioner, experienced speech therapists and the professional Maya team helping Hong Kong-based and international clients.

Dr. Alexander Yuan studied in two progressive colleges in the United States in the late 1960's and early 70's and earned his bachelor degree from New College of Florida in Natural Science. Due to his increasing enthusiasm towards natural medicine, after working for four years in IBM in Hong Kong, he immigrated to Canada to begin further studies in natural medicine. He received his : Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1982 Fellow from American Academy of Homeopathy Medicine in 1984. Doctor of Naturopathic degree from Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1986 Diploma in Homeopathy from Bengal Allen Medical Institute of India in 1987 Between 1997-1999 Dr. Yuan did further studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Hong Kong. Dr, Yuan has never ceased attending seminars and courses in natural healing all over the world, and actively participate in study tours and international health conferences. He holds membership in numerous medical and health organizations. Since returning to Hong Kong in 1987, Dr. Alexander Yuan has been devoted to the cause of reforming modern health care system. While pioneering the introduction of homeopathy, western natural medicine and colon hydrotherapy in Hong Kong, he is also one of the most vocal critic against medical monopoly perpetuated by the allopathic (conventional) medical organization in Hong Kong and has been actively promoting freedom of healthcare choice for patients and practitioners alike. He established Better Hong Kong Movement Association in 2003 and his own web radio station - Better Hong Kong Radio in 2006, now renamed as SourceWadio in which Dr, Yuan explore various solutions to our problems and on natural healing. He is the author of several books and audio topics on natural medicine. He is a frequent guest speaker with many organizations and has been a regular guest with RTHK3 and BFBS for several years. He has received frequent interviews from newspaper, magazines and television programs. Dr, Yuan has been visit to homeopathic college in Tokyo on June 2, 2019.

Hum (Hons) PHSH (UK) Lisa is a classically trained homeopath from the UK with experience in treating a wide and varied range of ailments and conditions. She trained at Purton House School of Homeopathy in the UK for 4 years and has been involved in homeopathic research at the college. She has continued her professional development with regular courses and seminars ever since. Lisa ran a busy private practice in Farnham, Surrey for over 10 years, and participated as a supervisor with trainees for the Society of Homeopaths until she relocated to Hong Kong with her family in 2010. Since moving to Asia Lisa has embraced opportunities to explore new places and healing paradigms - taking a break from working in practices until joining the team at The Round Clinic. Having treated mothers, babies and children for many years, Lisa is looking forward to helping Hong Kong people with every aspect of their family’s health, especially in the field of living with the challenges of HK with a focus on improving sleep conditions and stress coping mechanisms. In addition to seeing patients, she holds regular talks and workshops at the clinic to teach people how to utilise homeopathy in their family and home environment so that they can learn to use this gentle natural medicine with confidence and ease. Lisa has 2 grown up children, enjoys photography and sailing, and is English speaking.
