Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of data scientists in developing new insights, advanced modeling techniques, and data science capabilities. Conduct analytical experiments in a methodical manner to solve various problems and create a significant impact across business units and external partners.

- Act as a mentor to Senior Data Scientists and Data Scientists, encouraging their professional growth.

- Establish actionable KPIs and success metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Analyze large data sets using data science tools and techniques to develop custom models and algorithms that uncover insights, trends, and patterns in the data.

- Work closely with the IT team to facilitate easy and effective access to computing and data resources. Act as the lead data strategist, identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through product capabilities. Work with the data engineering team to develop data products.

- Identify relevant data sources and sets for client business needs, collect large structured and unstructured datasets. Collaborate with non-technical departments to help them understand how data science can benefit them and improve their effectiveness and performance. Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements to operational systems as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

- A master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

- 7+ years of experience in a data science role, with a preference for working as a Lead or Senior Data Scientist in the last 2 years. No preference for the industry sector, but experience in Retail/FMCG/Property/Telecom is a plus. Must have experience leading a data science team in implementing new models, tools, and techniques that improve business performance through informed decision-making. Strong technical understanding of Martech, personalization, and marketing automation preferred.

- Extensive experience solving analytical issues quantitatively using machine learning methods, advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and information retrieval. Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis. Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience.

- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead a cross-functional team in a unified direction. Ability to influence top business leadership and executives.

- Excellent communication skills to convey technical messages in a clear and understandable manner that leads to business-wide improvement of data management, informed decision-making, and ultimately, performance.

- Experience in Deep Learning projects such as NLP/computer vision and neural networks. Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python and R.

- Experience working with distributed computing tools such as Hadoop and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
