We are currently in search of a Regulatory Counsel on behalf of our client. This pivotal role entails providing legal and regulatory guidance across various jurisdictions in APAC and Europe. The Regulatory Counsel will work closely with the Head of Regulatory Affairs and other senior colleagues across the organization to implement strategies in key markets. Additionally, they will collaborate directly with business and marketing teams to support the introduction of existing and proposed products, services, and business initiatives. The Regulatory Counsel will also work alongside Compliance and Risk teams, as well as other stakeholders, to develop policies, procedures, and controls that ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations within the regulated exchange business.

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must possess a strong and proven track record as a legal counsel in both a law firm and an esteemed regulated financial services business. The candidate should have approximately 6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) and a comprehensive understanding of financial services regulations enforced by various regulators, such as the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), as well as regulatory frameworks in Europe. Furthermore, the Regulatory Counsel will work closely with the Head of Regulatory Affairs and collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to execute the exchange's regulatory registration and licensing strategy, ensuring smooth business operations in new markets.
