Role Responsibilities
- At this role, you will verify and authorize clerical tasks across various areas, such as Money Markets, Swap, Foreign Exchange, and Securities transactions, including Bonds and CD issuance.
- Assist the team leader in providing training and guidance to junior staff in routine operations.
- Your responsibility will be including collaborating with different departments to coordinate settlement matters related to Treasury Market transactions.
- Will need to ensure the accuracy and currency of posted information and review the work prepared by colleagues for the daily settlement operations of Treasury Market transactions.
- Address outstanding instructions by preparing instructions through CHATS / RTGS, SWIFT, CMU, and provide advice to counterparties.
- Oversee routine operational duties, including payment approvals, trade confirmation, and monitoring the completeness of documentation exchanged with counterparties and relevant sections.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on Treasury Market Transactions for regulatory bodies or head office.
- Handle unexpected issues that arise within the section.
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in settlement operation within banking sector
- Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education or equivalent
- Knowledge of operating Treasury Market products, SWIFT message, RTGS-CHATS and CMU systems will be highly preferred
- Skilled at multitasking, detail-oriented, and excels under pressure and tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office, with knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
