The coverage of the role is 50% HR IT related projects, while the rest will be related to finance IT, compliance IT, etc. Hence, you must also be open minded on the projects you may handle.
The hiring manager is open minded and does not need you have to have HR IT exposure as long as you are willing to learn.
Job Description
- Lead and manage complex projects in the Human Capital technology, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Human Capital domain from Technology side.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and test cases.
- Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts and project team members.
- Apply business analysis tools and techniques to design and implement solutions that meet the business needs and align with the strategic vision.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across project stakeholders, resolving issues and managing risks and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations, using tools such as PowerBI, to present and communicate the project outcomes and benefits.
- Perform data analysis and reporting, using various data sources and tools, to provide insights and recommendations to the business.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking, to identify the best practices and trends in the Human Capital domain.
- Provide training and coaching to the end users and stakeholders, to ensure the effective use and adoption of the solution.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the solution performance and user feedback, to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Define and scope the project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and priorities.
- Plan and execute the project activities, managing the project budget, resources, and risks.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis, workshops, interviews, surveys, and other methods to elicit and validate business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Review and approve the technical design and development of the solution, ensuring compliance with the business requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the testing activities, ensuring the quality and functionality of the solution.
- Monitor and report the project status, progress, issues, and risks to the project sponsor and steering committee.
- Manage the change management and deployment of the solution, ensuring the smooth transition and adoption by the end users.
- Conduct post-implementation review and lessons learned, capturing the feedback and recommendations for future improvement.
Skillset Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, computer science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Human Capital products (preferably Workday), processes, and regulations.
- Proficient in business analysis tools and techniques, such as requirement elicitation, documentation, modeling, traceability, and validation.
- Experienced in project management methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, or hybrid.
- Familiarity with Anaplan for business modeling, planning, and forecasting is a plus.
- Skilled in using project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Jira, or Trello.
- Expert in data analysis and reporting, using tools such as SQL, Excel, or Python.
- Experienced in dashboard and visualization development, using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Certification in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA) and/or project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum) is preferred.
